the 741st landed at Omaha beach on "D-Day" 6 June 1944 ahead of infantry units for the first time in history. This website is dedicated to those men who were there, many of whom never made it ashore or off the beachhead. Information on this site will be gathered from as many sources as I can find; some from books and and websites that I have run across {acknowledgements and credits will be given}, actual accounts from when I can get them; photos from where I can get them with acknowledgements given. I will post reunion information and anything else I can gather, if you have information for me please do not hesitate to contact me.
Much of this information so far I owe to Mr. Al Heintzleman either from his book1 or from the association newsletters. Unfortunately we lost Mr. Heintzelman in Aprill 2007
